So with 2 big parties vying for power on the same day, the political air in the constituency is starting to get pretty charged up
Seat Fell Vacant After MP’s Death
All this is happening after the sudden death of Ol Kalou MP David Njuguna Kiaraho who, sadly, passed away at The Nairobi Hospital on March 29th, while getting some pretty serious medical care
His untimely passing has left a pretty big hole in the constituency’s leadership, which is why the mini-election is happening.
All Eyes on July 16 By-Election
IEBC has already locked in the 16th of July 2026 as the official date for the by-election.
So between now and then, people are going to be really watching the party primaries – which is often where the real action happens. And if what’s being said so far is any indication, Ol Kalou could be heading for one heck of a battle.
