Boniface Mwangi Rallies Gen Z Support During Into The Ballot Launch

Political activist & presidential hopeful Boniface Mwangi is really ramping up his pitch to young voters ahead of the 2027 general election – basically urging Gen Z Kenyans to sign up and get actively involved in the whole electoral process.

Mwangi spoke out on Saturday at the first ever Into The Ballot event – this is a civic engagement drive designed to get voters to make informed decisions when they’re choosing a new leader.

He was using this platform to really rally the young folks, & especially first time voters, to go out there & exercise their voting rights after the Tuko Kadi drive finished up which was all about getting more young people aware of the importance of casting their ballots.

Mwangi Banks on Youth Vote

When he was talking at the event, Mwangi let on that he thinks if he can get the support of young voters, he reckons it could really swing the outcome of the next presidential election in his favour.

“Let’s go after those 8 million people who didn’t vote last time, plus add on Gen Z’s, thats our ticket to the top Mwangi said. He seemed to be making a point about how Kenya’s Gen Z are very vocal on things like governance, accountability & the economy.

Call for Informed Voting

The Into The Ballot initiative is all about getting people more clued up about politics so they can make more informed choices come election time in 2027.

Neema Kariuki ,one of the people behind the initiative said that the aim is to give citizens the info they need before they head off to the polls & make a choice about who they want to lead the country.

“We’re telling all of Gen Z & everyone in the country to go out & think carefully about who they want to lead this country” she said.

Gen Z Emerging as a Powerful Political Force

Kenya’s young voters are starting to get the attention they deserve as a force to be reckoned with in future elections & politicians & activists are starting to take note . Politicians like Mwangi are now making a big effort to appeal to young voters & show that they understand what matters to them & where they fit in.
